[Application Example]Kabuki art piece at
the National Theatre
The Low Reflection Film SF-1000 was applied to both sides of the glass showcase housing the wooden sculpture “Kagamijishi” by Hirakushi Denchu displayed on the ground floor of the Large Theatre of the National Theatre. By applying our Low Reflection Film, reflections from exterior lights were significantly reduced, making the exhibit more clearly visible.
“Kagamijishi” is currently exhibited at the Ibara City Hirakushi Denchu Art Museum in Okayama Prefecture. It is no longer on display at the National Theatre.
Nakagawa Chemical presents
“Low Reflection Film,”
a specialized film with outstanding
glare-reducing effect!
Low Reflection Film prevents glare (reflection) caused by external lights, etc. on glass surfaces of store windows or glass cases of art works, etc. and improves visibility. It allows for exquisite display of objects to maximize their appeal.

Nakagawa Chemical has two types of Low Reflection Film,
fine projection arrangement (moth-eye structure) and AR coating, and their optimal combination depending on the usage
allows for more effective reduction of glare. Shatterproof and UV protection functions are also added.
It can be utilized for store windows, glass cases for art works including paintings.
Optimal combinations
depending on usage
① Combination prioritizing glare reduction.
② Combination of wide films to minimize the joints of films.
③ When applying to glass facing outdoors, films for outdoor application need to be used. Products with hard coating can also be selected for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Low Reflection Films are more effective when applied on both sides!
Low-reflective film should be applied to “both sides” of the glass to achieve its intended reflection-reducing effect. Reflected lights that cause glares occur both surfaces of the glass, so applying the film to both sides of the glass reduces reflection and glare.
If the film cannot be applied to the inner glass boundary, such as double glazing, the expected effect cannot be achieved.
◀︎ Application example by nifrel [SF-1000 on one side + SF-1500HG on the other side] Low Reflection Films were applied on both sides of the glass in front of the monitors at the ticket counters. As reflection reduces, the visibility of monitors increases.

LIGHT&DISHES Lab.
Low Reflection Films were applied to the front glass of “LIGHT & DISHES Lab.,” a facility that provides dining and lighting experiences located in Tokyo. SF-1000 was applied on the side facing indoors in combination with SF-1500HG applied on the side facing outdoors.
[Application Example]
Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia,
Woolly monkeys house
Low Reflection film SF-1500HG was applied on both sides of the glass. The reflection of the glass has been improved, making it easier to see woolly monkeys.
