The development site is the very source of the “future.” Through a process of trial and error, innovative technologies and new materials continue to emerge. This process is fueled by the passion and determination of the developers. Ten signage companies have taken on the challenge of creating arrow signs of the same shape, directly conveying the process of technological development and their enthusiasm through a wall-mounted exhibition. We explore the possibilities of sign design that will shape the future, as revealed through each company’s trial and error and creativity.
作品コンセプト
In addition to our extensive range of colors, we have spent many years developing a wide variety of products, including frosted glass finishes, transparent colors, and foil sheets. Through this process, we have focused on combining different materials and processing techniques to achieve unique textures, luster, and visual effects that cannot be achieved with a single sheet alone. In this exhibition, by layering glossy or matte laminates over white and black base sheets, the surface texture varies richly depending on the differences in texture, and the design emerges depending on the light and viewing angle.
