Decorative sheets are primarily vinyl chloride resin-based films with an adhesive backing. Because they can be easily
cut using scissors, utility knives, or cutting machines, they are used for a wide range of design applications and interior styling.
It was over 50 years ago that Nakagawa Chemical successfully developed these decorative sheets. While "Cutting Sheet®"—a representative product in this category—is a registered trademark of Nakagawa Chemical, it has now become widely recognized as a generic term.
Types of Decorative Sheets
Although they are all called decorative sheets, there are many different types. You need to select the most suitable decorative sheet based on your purpose, application, location, and the desired visual effect. While decorative sheets vary in color and texture depending on the product, the most important factor to consider is their weather resistance lifespan. For indoor decoration or limited-time events, we recommend short-term sheets with a lifespan of up to about 3 years. For outdoor decoration or use on vehicles, long-term sheets with a lifespan of 5 years or more are preferable.

Used for a Wide Range of Applications
Decorative sheets are used for a wide range of purposes. For example, they can be used for store signage and shop window displays, as privacy screens for partitions, or to customize cars and motorcycles. Recently, they have also become increasingly popular among DIY enthusiasts for decorating furniture and appliances, as well as for use as wall stickers. The ability to freely transform the look of a space at a low cost is the greatest appeal of decorative sheets.
